Our mission is to promote and provide opportunities for those interested in Chinese cultural traditions and to further the goals and objectives of the organization.

Membership
Membership is open to all people who are interested in furthering their understanding and learning of Chinese culture as well as those in the Chinese and Asian Pacific American community who aim to promote and support DVCCA in its mission.
Accolades
DVCCA's work in the community have been recognized by community and public officials over the last few years including a proclaimation presented by Oakland Vice Mayor, Henry Chang for our continued work to promote Chinese culture in the East Bay as well as an Alameda County proclamation for promoting Dragon Boating in the East Bay along with our friends of the California Dragon Boat Association. DVCCA was also extremely honored to be awarded the 2003 Bridge the Gap Award for our supervisorial district presented by the Contra Costa Human Relations Commission for our work in building bridges and better understanding between all communities. We hope to continue to promote our heritage and culture and not only to present the richness of it but to use it to foster and improve community between us all.
